First Chinese Man-powered Airplane!

or ... what modelers do when they aren't building models!

The first Chinese human-powered airplane, designed and built by Mr. Mao Yiquing, the owner of the famous F3A model factory, Oxai. It first flew on March 26, 2009, in a Shanghai suburb, traveling a distance of 413.8 feet at 8.53 feet off the ground. The flight lasted 18 (terrifying, I'm sure!) seconds.
Here are the specs on the plane:
Wingspan: 89.89 ft.
Length: 24.27 ft.
Weight: 103.6 lb.

Inspiring...

I have always thought about building my own set of wings, to adventure into the blue sky, to be afloat if only for a moment...

See how much the wing is flexing? Also note the Aspect Ratio, very large. Nice design.
