After-run oil

After-run oil
A number of years ago I started using Marvel Mystery oil as an after run oil with great success. Now I have switched fuels to Morgan fuels – “Cool Power and Omega” Both products state on their label they include a rust inhibitor and anti oxidant in the fuel itself and not to use after run oil. I know a large number of our club members have not noticed this warning and have continued to add after run oil. I am in this category myself since I didn’t notice the warning until my second gallon of fuel. Are we going to damage our engines by adding the after run oil with Morgan fuels? William G. Bill, don't believe everything you read. As long as our model fuel contains nitromethane and methanol, after-run oil is required regardless of whether the fuel manufacturers add some to their fuels or not. The amount they add is insignificant when it comes to over-coming the by-products of combustion. It's an advertising feature to sell the fuel. You will not hurt a darn thing by using Marvel Mystery Oil with your Morgan fuel. I've used Morgan fuel for years in conjunction with Marvel Mystery Oil with no problem. Clarence Lee |

I was just wondering if anyone has ever had problems with combustion deposits. I know of a product that would reduce combustion deposits in all engines. Two-stroke and four-stroke. my e-mail is justineorta@comcast.net Let me know!

Hey Clarence! Thanks for the recommendation. I too have been using MMO for years as an after-run oil, plus I am one of those old guys who's hard to change and I always add some caster oil to my fuel when I am not sure what the actual content is. If not indicated on the bottle. Personally I use a lot of different fuels but have used Wildcat and HobbyTown USA brands (same fuel with different packaging?)and have been completely satisfied with them.
thanks again
